[Photo: Capital FM]Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny has agreed with National Resistance Movement (NRM) that the 'opposition and Raila Odinga must be given their space'.Kutuny, however, says that this must be done with a level of decorum."If you want to render Raila irrelevant, give him a peaceful environment, but If you want him to be so powerful give him a tense environment," Kutuny told NTV's AmLive on Monday. The MP warned the opposition against provocative statements that put the country's peace and stability at stake."When you are making a statement, you must ensure your statement does not go beyond provocation. The opposition’s statements have always been provocative like 'wakirusha, tutarusha'. Now what is that supposed to mean if not chaos," he added. He also warned that it was 'dangerous to single out a community out of the rest as being targeted and paying the ultimate price' saying this can segregate the community from the rest.Kutuny asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to move with speed to unite the country once his victory is upheld and he is sworn in.Speaking at the same time, Diaspora Alliance leader Dr Shem Ochuodho, noted that the lives that have so far been lost during political skirmishes were regrettable."To us, it might just be statistics of how many have been killed but to others, it is more than that. These are people’s relatives, mothers and fathers. It (tribe) doesn’t matter when a life is lost, whether it is from this community or the other. We must acknowledge that we have a problem and must dialogue about it," Ochuodho said. He, however, noted that it was 'senseless' for the government to stop NASA welcoming its leader and from holding a rally at Uhuru Park.
