Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong’i on Monday speaking at St Peters Kerera Secondary school when he was inspecting ongoing construction of modern classrooms said the petitioners should accept his victory and move on.

The legislator urged his opponents to join hands with him to develop the constituency.

“Nyaribari Chache constituents spoke in one voice during the August 8 polls. My opponents should accept and move on to stop frustrating me,” he said.

He assured that residents that nothing will derail his development agenda.

"I will not have excuses to my constituents because I am committed to delivering as by my campaign pledges to boost lives of the people and develop all the corners in the region,” said Tong’i.

According to the MP, Kisii High court decision to uphold his August 8, 2017, victory should be respected.

"Kisii High Court on February 28, 2018, ruled that I won free and fair. My opponents should accept that verdict to wait until 2022 to vie again,” he added.
