Jubille allied Members of Parliament have revealed a scheme they would be employing to lock out former prime minister Raila Odinga from contesting the presidency in 2022 elections.
Speaking in Nakuru, the Jubilee MPs led by David Gikaria (Nakuru Town East) and his Nakuru Town West counterpart Samuel Arama said they will unanimously support a motion in the National Assembly that will seek to lock out those aged 70 years and above from vying for presidency .
"We will support a motion in parliament seeking to bar those above 70 years old to contest any political seat," said Gikara.
Raila, who has contested unsuccessfully thrice for the presidency, will be at 78 in 2022.
The legislatures further threw their weight behind the DP and assured that they would mobilise their supporters in large number to support his presidential bid in 2022.
