Jubilee Members of parliament have been accused of staging a field for election violence in Kenya as they prepare to pass a Bill that will see next presidential election results transmitted manually.
According to Kiamokama MCA Kennedy Michira once the bill passes the reforms that were initiated to prevent Kenyans from sliding back to the 2007/8 post-election violence will have gone up in smoke and called upon Kenyans to stand up against the Bill.
"Jubilee knows that digital systems leave trails that can be followed if an election is interfered with unlike manual systems which can easily be destroyed after the rigged election has been declared and that’s why they are in rush to make changes but we as Kenyans should condemn it," said Michira.
Speaking at a burial in Kiamokama on Thursday, Michira told the opposition allied members of parliament to ensure they stand firmly to protect Kenyans from any possible violence that Jubilee wants to get them into.
The proposed Bill seeks to amend the Election Act and the Elections Offenses Act.
