An MP allied to the ruling Jubilee Party has told NASA principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to dissolve their respective parties and form one formidable party.
Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa in an interview with Radio Jambo on Saturday said Kenya now needs to restructure its political arena and have only two strong political parties like in the case of the United States where there are Democratic and Republican parties."NASA parties, now that opposition leader Raila Odinga has agreed to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta should be disbanded and the four principals should form one strong party," Ichung'wa said during the interview where he welcomed Raila's decision to work with the Jubilee administration."Look at Jubilee, had we not disbanded our respective party's (The National Alliance and United Republican Party) maybe we wouldn't have secured the presidency and perhaps the numbers in both the Senate and Parliament," he added. He said multiple party politics is known to polarise the country which is detrimental to development. The MP said it is not true that ODM as a party after Raila and Uhuru's meeting had started bullying other NASA affiliate parties; Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper party, Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress and Moses Wetangula's Ford Kenya.Raila on Friday last week met President Uhuru Kenyatta and agreed to work with the Commander in Chief in developing the country.
