Two members of Parliament have now criticised and questioned the speed at which Health CS Cleophas Mailu come up with a complete audit report.
The two legislators Alice Wahome MP for Kandara and Mithika Linturi of Igembe North who spoke at the AM Live on NTV, referred to Mailu as a "confused individual."
"I think Mailu is just confused. I don't think he is presenting the case as it should be," Wahome said.
"Five days cannot be enough to carry out an audit and come up with a complete report," she added.
Her sentiments were shared by her counterpart from Igembe North who also criticised his intentions to invite an external auditor.
"Mailu is completely confused and I think he is living in a regime where the position he holds can be used to perpetuate impunity, " he said.
"When a minister stands in front of a camera and says he is calling for an external auditor, that is misplaced and cannot be allowed," he added.
