Maara Member of Parliament Kareke Mbiuki and a host of other Jubilee members have suggested a retirement package for NASA Raila Odinga.

The leaders have further dismissed calls that the Opposition has had to swear in Raila Odinga as the Peoples’ President on January 31.

According to the leaders, Odinga should push for a package retirement that will see him move out of active politics.

They said his career ended the moment he lost twice to president Kenyatta in last year’s August election and repeat poll on October 26.

The leaders spoke during a burial ceremony of a prominent business man’s wife in Chuka town.

Odinga and his NASA luminaries have said the swearing-in plan will go on January 31 at the Uhuru Park, insisting there is no backing out now.

The NASA leaders on Sunday made their swearing-in calls heard during a peoples’ assembly convention meeting in Kakamega.

The coalition shelved their plans to swear in Odinga last year, but the plan has picked pace in the recent weeks.

The government, through Attorney General Githu Muigai, warned Odinga that the will be committing an offence of high treason if he goes ahead to swear himself in.
