A section of Jubilee Party MPs have vowed to remove Chief Justice David Maraga from office should President Uhuru Kenyatta emerge victorious after the October 26 repeat polls.

Led by Kandara MP Alice Wahome, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Kigumo MP Ruth Mwaniki, the lawmakers accused the Judiciary of favouring NASA in their ruling of the Opposition's petitions.

They cited the recent ruling by the High Court to suspend the ban on NASA’s protests in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa CBDs.

“These judges seem to be part of the NASA arrangement and some have to go after the polls, starting with Chief Justice David Maraga,” Wahome noted.

On his part, Nyoro claimed that the Judiciary is part of NASA's plot to sabotage the economy.

“Have they not seen the protesters break into private businesses and loot private property during the protests? Why, then, would they allow the protests to go on?” he posed.
