The ruling Jubilee coalition has name a team of seven legislators to engage Cord in reforming the IEBC.
The coalition led by President Uhuru Kenyatta unveiled the team through Parliament Majority Leader Aden Duale and Senate Majority Leader Prof Kindiki Kithure.
Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi was named team leader on Thursday evening.
Others include Senators Beatrice Elachi (nominated) and Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet).
MPs Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Naomi Shaban (Taveta), Jimmy Angwenyi (Kitutu Chache North) and Mohamuud Mohammed (Mandera East) will also be part of the committee.
On Wednesday, Cord named its committee to spearhead the talks.
The Cord team comprises of Senators Johnston Muthama (Machakos), Mutula Kilonzo Jnr (Makueni) and James Orengo (Siaya).
MPs Junet Mohamed (Suna East), Dr Eseli Simiyu (Tongaren) and Hellen Sambili (Mogotio) are also part of the Cord committee.
Ms Sambili however, on Thursday decline to join Cord in the IEBC talks.
Duale while unveiling the Jubilee team said if the allegations leveled by the opposition against the IEBC are confirmed, the two teams will devise a legal mechanism to disband the electoral body.
The joint committee will be expected to prepare a report which will be tabled in Parliament.
The two teams have thirty days to do investigations.
Cord has conducted countrywide demonstration demanding for the disbandment of the IEBC.
