Photo/the-star.co.keFrancis Atwoli has broken his long silence by telling both the jubilee and NASA leaders to accept the reforms that have been made by the Independent Electoral  Commission Boundaries ( IEBC).In a statement on Thursday,   Atwoli said that the ongoing strife is scaring away investors and other business community members and this may worsen the economy of the whole nation.“We are appealing to our leaders to accept to the proposed date by the IEBC  which is to be held on Tuesday 17th October and at the same time accept the reforms IEBC is putting across putting in mind that there are only thirty nine days left,” Atwoli said. Atwoli told the two parties to hold a meeting with the IEBC and iron their issues to pave  way for a peaceful presidential elections. IEBC  is planning  to hold a meeting with the two parties to address the concerns raised by the two rivals.  The parties are to discuss ‘important matters concerning nullification of Uhuru Kenyatta victory’.On Wednesday the NASA leaders had a plan to meet IEBC to resolve issues concerning the ne election date. These developments follow Raila‘s fresh demands to the commission and also to boycott the elections if their demands are not met.  Their claim is that the IEBC secretariat has been involved in malpractices in August polls.
