Deputy President William Ruto has maintained that the Jubilee nominations will be conducted by IEBC.
Speaking when he received a delegation of politicians from Nyamira at his Karen home on Monday, the DP said that whoever is against the move is against the development of political parties in the nation.
''Anybody arguing against an independent body overseeing nominations in parties is missing the point and is not interested in building and developing the parties into national governing institutions," said Ruto.
''We are interested in building our party into a national institution of governance and that is the reason why we are fighting for this," he added.
Ruto also said that by IEBC conducting political parties primaries, they will have made their job at the general election level easier as there will be no nomination conflicts which could trouble or delay the practice.
''IEBC job in the general election will be reduced if they take part and ensure free and fair nominations.''Said the DP.
Earlier, the opposition block led by ODM had opposed the move saying that it is unconstitutional.
