National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has accused the Jubilee administration of engaging in massive corruption scandals making the cost of living unbearable for Kenyans.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Bungoma County on Friday, Kalonzo took a swipe at the government saying that according to him, Jubilee leaders have stolen everything until they have now started stealing food from its citizens.
The Wiper leader said NASA will bring the 'unga revolution' which will send home President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in the forthcoming August 8 polls.
“We must all unite to send home Jubilee. They are thieves. You can imagine a government that have stolen money and everything until now they are stealing even food,” said Kalonzo amid cheers from the charged crowd.
The former Vice President further accused Jubilee leaders of being insensitive to the problems facing Kenyans and faulted the government for importing maize “that is not fit for human consumption from Mexico”. "These boys have totally failed Kenyans since as you can see, there is no unga and insecurity is high yet they are saying 'tuko pamoja' (we are together). Are we together in theft?" he posed while addressing residents of Tongaren.
Kalonzo who is poised to be the Deputy President if NASA forms government, said the Opposition will not default on its election pledges and asked the residents to vote for them in August.
"We in NASA are the face of Kenyans who are going to redeem this country from Jubilee that has made Wanjiku regret being a Kenyan," he added.
Kalonzo who was accompanied by his co-principal Musalia Mudavadi led NASA campaigns in Tongaren, Kamukuywa, Kimilili, Misikhu, Bukembe and Webuye.
They later joined their counterparts Raila Odinga and Moses Wetang'ula for a joint rally at Posta Grounds in Bungoma.
