Top Jubilee officials in Kisii county on Thursday opted to move from house to house to plead with the locals to vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta after the majority of them obeyed Raila Odinga boycott calls.
Led by Kisii Central ward MCA Samson Abuga the officials said most of the Jubilee supporters were old and the rains hindered them hence they had no option but to go for them.
"We've been in a mission to help the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and so far so good we've made good progress of mobilising voters," said Abuga.
The MCA however denied claims that they were giving handouts for people to vote for Kenyatta.
"The persons who we managed to vote did it for free as they love Uhuru," said Abuga.
The voter turn out however was still low.
