A section of clerks and Presiding Officers who were tasked to oversee Jubilee Party primaries. They now say the party has failed to pay them.Photo/courtesyPolice in Nakuru were forced to use teargas to disperse angry Presiding Officers and Clerks who were protesting to demand their pay for overseeing Jubilee Party primaries.
Addressing media at the railway grounds, the angry residents from various sub counties demanded the Jubilee Party top leadership address their grievances.
“We did our work but coming to payment the Jubilee officials in Nakuru have failed to hear our grievances and we are calling the Party top leadership to intervene and have us paid,” one of them said.
“We are surprised that the party has decided to use police to teargas us instead of paying us. We need our payment and if the Jubilee party will not do so then let the party forget about the youth’s support in Nakuru,” another said.
Our attempts to get a comment on the same from the Jubilee leadership in Nakuru County was futile.
