Jubilee Party has strongly objected to the new list of IEBC officials that are set to oversee the presidential election on October 17, 2017. In a letter to IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, Jubilee Party secretary general Raphael Tuju lists nine officials President Uhuru Kenyatta’s side accuse of being biased. “After publication of the names of your election project team, we have received credible information that in the list are people known to be partisan,” Tuju’s letter reads in part. The IEBC officials that Jubilee wants stopped from being involved in the presidential rerun include: Marijan Hussein Marijan, Salome Oyugi, Decimah Mmayi, Chrispine Owiye, Joseph Ayatta, Joyce Ekuam, Tabitha Mutemi, Limus Onyango and Caroline Manyange. IEBC CEO Ezra Chilopa had been sidelined in the deployment of the new team that will oversee the elections.
