Muthama claims that some youth were assembled and paid to heckle and stone NASA’s motorcade in Thika.

In an interview with the People Daily, Muthama said that it is ironical that Kiambu people warmly received NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga during his rally on July 4 only to turn violent during the Thursday rally.

Muthama said that some Jubilee politicians  feel threatened by NASA growing popularity in Mt Kenya region.

“It is obvious that some people hired and paid rowdy youths to heckle down and stone NASA’s motorcade during the Thursday rally in Thika,” he said as quoted by the People Daily.

Muthama said that NASA will not give up on its quest to win numbers in Jubilee strongholds.

Senator Muthama asked Jubilee should prepare to go home on August 8. Muthama said that NASA’s agenda is to beat UhuRuto and liberate the country from their poor rule.

On Thursday, Raila Odinga was forced to cut short his tour of Thika after youth turned rowdy and stoned his motorcade.

Raila was in company of Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and senator Muthama.

Raila, however, proceeded to Murang’a county where he appealed to Mt Kenya locals to endorse his presidential bid.

The NASA fag bearer maintained that he is not an enemy of the Kikuyu’s as it has been portrayed by a section of their leaders.

Raila promised to champion his interest of all Kenyans without discrimination if elected.
