Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is so blessed by his god that he cannot sell his freedom for loyalty to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking over the defection to Jubilee Party by several Coast leaders, Joho said he was "on another level" and cannot be compared with people who are easily swayed by small amounts of money.
Among the defectors were Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya and Lamu's Issa Timamy. The two were among politicians received on Saturday during Jubilee Party's launch.
“I live a comfortable life and I have everything I wished for growing up. I need nothing more,” said Joho as quoted by The Star.
The boisterous governor added that he was too expensive to be bought or lured by Jubilee Party's goodies.
He further asked Deputy President William Ruto to stop dreaming about taking over State House in 2022 since Raila is taking over next year and he will take charge from 2022.
Joho, who is Cord leader Raila Odinga’s loyalist, said he will continue fighting Raila's battle and lead his campaign for election as president next year.
