This has been confirmed by the Registrar of Political Parties Lucy Ndung'u who received the party's documents on Monday.

Ndung'u said that the party has met all legal requirements even though there are no elected officials.

Speaking to Citizen Tv, Ndung'u said that it is upon President Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto to decide whether officials from Jubilee Party’s predecessor Jubilee Alliance Party will act as new officials.

“We have to read in detail to establish whether the 13 political parties adhered to the law when they decided to merge, the document will be made public after the expiry of the seven days,” Ndung’u said.

The party’s NDC supported and declared Uhuru and Ruto as the interim party leader and deputy party leader consecutively
