A section of Jubilee Party politicians on Sunday toured Kwale County to root for President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid.
Led by nominated Senator Beatrice Elachi, the leaders asked the region that voted overwhelmingly for ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2013, to support the Jubilee candidate in the August poll.Speaking in Ukunda during a women function, Elachi exuded confidence that Jubilee has what it takes to win the August polls, adding that they have the numbers to propel their bid.On her part, Kwale women representative Zainab Chidzuga slammed the opposition saying they have nothing to offer Kenyans. She added that much development in the region has been realised during the current regime.Chidzuga who decamped from ODM to Jubilee, said despite controlling half the government during the grand coalition government, Raila did 'nothing' when he was Prime Minister.Speaking at the same function, Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh hit out at opposition for allegedly engaging in divisive politics. She added that Kenya has realised meaningful development under the Jubilee government.
