Anxiety has gripped voters in some parts of Eldoret town after voting centres failed to be opened as scheduled for the Jubilee party primaries.
As at 8am, Friday, MV Patel voting centre, the biggest in the town, had not been opened with hundreds of already lined up to take part n the exercise.
There has been no official communication from the party officials but there has been reports that delay was as as a result of few voting materials.
Voters demanded to be told why there were delays.
"I have been here since 5am and its unfortunate that we don't know why voting has not started," said one of the voter at MV Patel voting centre.
Voting had started at Bishop Delany secondary school but was later stopped.
"We have temporality stopped the voting awaiting official communication from the party headquarters," said the returning officer at Bishop Delany secondary school, Eliud Yegon.
