President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto's Jubilee Party announced it would announce new dates for nominations exercise, Saturday.
This is after the party secretary general Raphael Tuju canceled Friday nominations in 21 counties, following a shambolic exercise witnessed in across the regions, with aspirants and supporters issuing complaints and disappointment.
As he declared the entire exercise null and void, Tuju apologised, saying he takes all the responsibility.
''The exercise has been cancelled in all the areas and new dates will be announced on Saturday,'' said Tuju.
Jubilee is running against time, as all the list of nominated candidates of all political parties are supposed to be forwarded to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), by April 26, 2017.
