Kiuna said that structure put in place in the new party have sought to address nomination matters at the grassroots and not at the party’s headquarters in Nairobi.

“For any politician, everyone knows that nominations have been conducted in a very unbalanced and partial manner because you will have people who have been duly nominated by the electorate being denied the chance through corruption,” he said.

He added: "But Jubilee Party has taken the power to grass root where the certificate will be issued and all matters addressed there by a special tribunal. This is fair enough in ensuring that there is transparency in the whole nomination exercise.”

Kiuna said that in his case, he was forced to make several trips to Nairobi after he was denied a certificate yet he had won.

He got the certificate after several days of protest. He spoke on Wednesday on Inooro TV during an interview.

Kiuna stated that there are many wrangles that rock during party nomination exercise and with the new set of rules governing Jubilee party, the process will be transparent and unbiased.
