The former Subukia lawmaker said that the formation of Jubilee party will not bar any other Kenyan from forming a new party.

"Claims that formation of a unified Jubilee party brings back the era of one party politics is unfounded because it does stop other Kenyans from forming new party if they so wish," he said.

The Chama cha Mwananchi party leader further added that formation of bigger parties is healthy as aims at uniting Kenyans.

"Bigger parties with representations across the country will end the tribal-based politics that has been witnessed in the country over the years," he said.

Koigi sentiments comes days after he hinted at joining the Jubilee party as the 2017 polls nears. Koigi was speaking to journalists on Monday in Nairobi.
