Former Garsen MP Danson Mungatana has rubbished claims that Jubilee Party will crumble after nominations.
Mungatana said those who will lose in the primaries will be absorbed by the party for it to remain stronger.
"Jubilee Party is aware that Cord is looking for every opportunity to spread propaganda about the party and even intends to have some leaders defect to their side, but that will never happen," he said.
The former Kenya Ports Authority chair was speaking at a Methodist church in Garsen over the weekend. Mungatana is also eyeing the Tana River gubernatorial seat.
Mungatana urged his people to support Jubilee Party saying that Uhuru Kenyatta's government is the only one capable of uplifting and changing their living standards.
Mungatana also faulted incumbent Tana River Governor Hussein Dado saying his time is up as he has failed to deliver.
"Dado has failed the people of Tana River by introducing very tight policies both to farmers and pastoralists," he said.
