Nyamira woman representative Alice Chae has called on Kenyans to join the opposition if it calls for demonstrations against the Elections Laws Amendment Act.
Chae claimed Jubilee plans to rig the next general election and that is why both Houses -- the Senate and National Assembly -- passed the controversial changes to the electoral laws Bill which has now become Act after President Uhuru signed it into law on Monday.
“If the opposition calls for demonstration to oppose the laws, let us all join the protests. We want transparency in the next general election,” Chae said in Nyamira town on Sunday.
“I support demonstrations against the Bill (now Act), we need our rights as Kenyans, dead people have been voting and that's what we don’t want at all in this country. We want BVR machines to be used and to transmission of election results done electronically,” she added.
