The plan by National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders to swear in former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is unconstitutional, former Kwale Women Representative Zainab Chidzuga has said. According to Chidzuga, leaders in the opposition will have gone against the will of Kenya if they proceed with their plans to swear-in Raila as their president. Speaking on Wednesday at Ukunda, the vocal politician said the opposition lost during the August 8 election because they did not have the numbers.“It is unconstitutional to swear in two people as President. NASA has lost the numbers and now they are looking for ways to remain relevant,” said Chidzuga, as quoted by The Star. The Jubilee politician also said that the people of Kwale have reaped a lot from the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee government such as better infrastructure, adding that the opposition has nothing to offer. The politician further called upon the supporters of the opposition NASA coalition to back Uhuru’s second term, adding that their leaders are misleading them through product boycott campaigns.“The NASA leadership has nothing to offer. They are misleading their supporters by asking them to boycott almost everything,” she added.
