Walter Nyambati, who unsuccessfully vied for the Nyamira gubernatorial seat during the August 8 2017 polls, said Nyamira people will not sympathize with the county governor John Nyagarama even if he is sick.

Nyambati said Nyagarama’s days to resign have come because his poor health will not allow him serve the people.

“Nyagarama should consider resigning because his bad state of health can’t allow him to continue serving the people of Nyamira. We don’t want to hear excuses that he has been going to hospitals to be treated derailing development in the county,” he said.

According to the politician, Nyagarama should resign so that he can have enough time to seek medical treatment.

"One can’t serve two masters at ago. Nyagarama should step aside so that the doctors can attend to him well because the residents need service delivery even without him. We have leaders who will continue serving our people to realize development in the region,” he added.
