A latest poll has indicated that Jubilee party which is led by president Uhuru Kenyatta is the most popular party in governor Isaac Rutto’s turf yard.
Jubilee seems to be enjoying a lot of support in Bomet county as compared to Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party which is led by the incumbent Rutto.
A survey conducted in the county by Infotrak Research Company found that Jubilee leads by 73.8 per cent in terms of popularity while CCM came the second position with a popularity of 12 per cent.
Oppposition leader Raila Odinga ODM’s party is at the fourth position at 4.1 per cent popularity.
Kanu, Maendeleo Chap Chap party, Wiper Democratic Movement Kenya and Narc-Kenya have a support of 0.5 per cent, 0.2 per cent, 0.1 per cent and 0.1 per cent respectively.
4.5 per cent of Bomet did not want to name the political parties they are affiliated with while those who are still undecided on which party to support are at 4.5 per cent.
The poll was conducted on April 7 and April 8. A total of 800 respondents were interviewed.
