President Uhuru Kenyatta-led party has postponed its primaries in Nairobi.
The primaries had been scheduled for Friday April 21but has been moved to April 25.
"In response to major representations to the party by the large Muslim Community in Nairobi the National Executive Committee in consultation with the National Elections Board has postponed the Jubilee party primaries from Friday 21to Monday 24 of April," said party Secretary General Raphael Tuju. A stiff competition is expected at the governor's ticket where political bigwigs Mike Sonko, Margret Wanjiru and Peter Kenneth will face off.There have been discrete moves by some quarters to have Sonko step down for Kenneth but the flamboyant senator stuck to hus guns.
