However as at 9am most of the polling centres mainly in Eldoret town had not started.

At MV Patel centre in the Eldoret town, hundreds of voters had already lined up ready to vote but the exercise had not started.

"We have not started voting. We are told ballot papers have arrived and soon the exercise will begin," said a voter.

Similar situation was witnessed at Railway polling centre. The situation was different at Racecourse primary school where voting was ongoing.

However several voters complained of their names not being found in the register.

"I was here as early as 5am and I am very much disappointed that my name is missing in party register hence I cannot vote," said Nicholas Kiplagat, a voter at Racecourse primary school, Kesses sub-county.
