Jubilee party officials in Kisii County have promised all aspirants that they will hold free and fair party polls that are scheduled to be held early in February.
According to the chairman of Kisii County parliamentary group Senator Chris Obure, they have been receiving calls to ensure that they hold together all the Jubilee supporters even if they lose in the preliminaries.
Speaking at Kisii sports club on Monday Obure said that they are working day and night to ensure that the party is more popular than any other in the entire Gusii region and also ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta gets another term.
“We are welcoming more aspirants to Jubilee as we know that the more the aspirants we get from Jubilee the more we will be popular and stand chances of getting more seats from the regions,” he added.
Obure called upon the residents to trust and believe in him and vote for him in 2017 as the county governor.
He is set to face the current Governor James Ongwae who is looking forward to defend his seat in 2017 among many other contestants who have already declared an interest in the seat.
