The rift concerning the future of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has been the talk of the nation whereby the two opposing sides demand their needs to be met.

Cord has accused IEBC officials of being too incompetent to conduct free and fair elections.

On the other hand, Jubilee maintains that the officials will not leave office as demanded by Cord unless the opposition coalition follows the right procedure of disbanding the electoral body.

Speaking in Turbo, the deputy president said the government was ready for dialogue on all the issues affecting the country as requested by the opposition.

He also challenged the opposition to accept dialogue as stated in the Constitution.

"The Constitution we all voted for allows the government to have dialogue through Parliament. Therefore, the opposition should know that we are not against their demand but I urge them to do so via Parliament,'' said Ruto.

He called on all leaders to embrace peace and settle their differences peacefully instead of engaging in violent means of addressing them.
