Jubilee leaders seem to be working close to ensure that the Nairobi County top seat is reserved for Luhya community in order to win the Western voters in 2017.
This could be meant to lure the community to support president Kenyatta who will vie for the presidency for a second term.
Some of the party members in the Jubilee coalition have vowed to endorse and support Water CS, Eugene Wamalwa to unseat Governor Kidero.
Though some members in Jubilee have refuted the claims, Jubilee seems to be ready to ensure that Wamalwa vies for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in 2017 as this will help them get support from Western Kenya.
Jubilee will be willing to do everything possible to ensure the president retains his seat. This could be done by ensuring Western Kenya supports and votes Jubilee in 2017.
This will be a blow to Cord as Western Kenya is well known as the strong hold to Cord.
