Firebrand Moiben MP Silas Tiren has been voted out as Agriculturecommittee chair in parliament following request by State House.

In a bid to distribute parliamentary leadership slots fairly across all the regions, Jubilee party under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta had ordered four MPs out of leadership.

"I was elected by majority and parliament is an independent institution. We cannot allow cartels to intimidate us," Tiren said.

Also, outspoken Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter was voted out of Labour committee while Marakwet East MP Bowen Kangongo surrendered Vice Chairperson seat of Environment committee..

KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion accused MPs of being misled by executive to neutralise MPs roles.

"I am yet to understands why we are sacking someone who has not even executed his mandate," he said.

Already by the time of going to press, Gakuya had also been sacked and replacedby North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko while Keter was struggling to save his job.

Efforts to have the four resign voluntarily by DP William Ruto have hit a snug with the MPs vowing to defend their rights.
