The National Super Alliance (NASA) has been pushing for the same, citing recurrent election rigging, poll manipulation and political domination, with Duale now saying that the ruling Jubilee Party will not be involved in the same.

Duale says that the party will as well not take part in attempts to restructure the national executive system in whichever way, an amendment the opposition has also been advocating for.

"Talks between President @UKenyatta and The Right Hon. @RailaOdinga will not revolve around the push for electoral justice and restructuring of the country's governance," he tweeted Thursday.

NASA has been pushing for the introduction of a bigger and more inclusive executive, observing that a section of Kenyans feel excluded from the nation's leadership.

The Garissa township lawmaker, however, maintained that the talks, as has been communicated, will only address matters unity and national cohesion.

"@JubileePartyK will only engage in deliberations on the unity of the country and development," he added.

President Kenyatta and Odinga arrived at the agreement after a closed door meeting at Uhuru's Harambee House offices on March 9.
