Raila Odinga sent out a statement this morning (Tuesday) accusing the National Intelligence Service of interfering in the ongoing mass voter registration process.

Of course, the immediate objective of this statement is that Raila is trying to delegitimize the ongoing voter registration process and the final voter register because he knows that the results will not favor him because his vote blocs have lower numbers than Jubilees.

In the long term, this statement will also serve as another plank in his narrative when trying to explain why he lost, after the August elections.

However, Kenyans are not fooled.

We all remember that Raila Odinga has been fighting every single state institution set up by the constitution in a bid to ensure that there is no independent organs that can check his raw ambitions to get into power through unconstitutional means.

This is why he has made all manner of accusations against the three arms of government; from the Judiciary (which he called ‘koti bandia’), to Parliament, to the Executive.

He has fought the Public Service, IEBC, EACC, DPP, OAG, AG, Police, KDF and even local chiefs.

It leaves one wondering how he would run a country if he were to ever get the power he lusts for so much!

However, this also sends a warning to all the officers serving in such institutions across the country that he would most probably fire most of them were he to ever ascend to power.

As Jubilee we know that Raila Odinga knows he cannot stop the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta so now he is looking for what excuses to use when he loses.

Unfortunately, he does not seem to understand that these institutions do not just serve him; they serve 40 million Kenyans other Kenyans; and such reckless statements undermine their effectiveness.

Finally Raila must understand that the reason why Kenya manages to keep going forward successfully despite his constant attempts to destabilize it is because there are parts of the State that are not politicized.

This is why Jubilee would like to assure all public servants, police officers, regional administrators, security officers, military officers and members of all other arms of government that their jobs are safe under Jubilee; both now and after the next elections.
