The Jubilee Party has spoken after National Super Alliance (Nasa) leaderRaila Odinga on Wednesday afternoon said he will move to the Supreme Court tochallenge President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory.
Initially, James Orengo, who was the Nasa deputy chief agent, said they will not go to court.
This was before theIndependent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declared Uhuru the winner ofthe presidential election.
Orengo and Nasa leaders claimed IEBC system ofresults transmission was hacked by Jubilee, to ensure the President wins.
However, Jubilee leaders have welcomed yesterday’s move by Nasa to challenge the outcome of the election in court.
“Everybody, thevoices of reason, have been urging those not satisfied with the outcome of thepolls to petition in court. Let their lawyers now bring the evidence beforecourt and I am certain our lawyers and those from IEBC will counter all theevidence they come up with,” said National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale,as reported by The Standard.

The GarissaTownship MP said Raila’s move was in line with Uhuru’s call, and that ofobservers, religious leaders and the international community.
The outspokenMP, however, criticised Raila over statements that appeared to be intimidatingthe Supreme Court judges.
Raila duringhis address, said the Supreme Court had a chance to redeem itself.
Tharaka Nithisenator Kithure Kindiki said they were ready for Nasa in court.
“We have beenready for NASA any day, any time, anywhere. Even if there is any other courtthey will wish to go after losing in the Supreme Court, we are ready for them.Even if its before an international court,” Kindiki told The Standard.
In 2013, Raila lost in a petition filed against the IEBC and Jubilee at the Supreme Court.
