The Jubilee party has rewarded election losers by presenting their names for the five slots at the East African Legislation Assembly.The 15 names were presented to the National Assembly by Majority leader Aden Duale and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.Duale said President Kenyatta considered regional and gender balance while selecting the names."I wish to convey our final decision...we have five slots and are submitting fifteen members," said Duale as quoted by the-star.co.keAmong the candidates were former MPs Wanjiku Muhia-Nyandarua, Mpuru Aburi-Tigania East and Simon Mbugua-Kamukunji.Former National Assembly clerk Justin Bundi, former CIC boss Charles Nyachae and Bishop Jackson Kosgei from Baringo also made it to the list.National Assembly clerk Michael Sialai and Senate clerk Jeremiah Nyengenye received the list."We are satisfied with the list but we will, henceforth, conduct scrutiny on individual candidates to check whether they meet ideal requirements," said Nyengenye.The rest are Florence Sergon from Baringo, Irene Cherop from Elgeyo Marakwet, Elizabeth Wangui from Nyeri, Julie Njeri from Nyandarua, Joe Muriithi from Nyeri, Dorice Donya from Kisii and Eunice Wanjiru from Trans Nzoia and former MPs Abdulaziz Ali and Adan Mohamed from Mandera.
