Jubilee Party has 'sacked' Tharaka Nithi Senator-elect Kindiki Kithure as its Majority Leader in the Senate, a position which has now been taken by his Elgeyo Marakwet counterpart Kipchumba Murkomen.
The new arrangement has been reached after the party's meeting on Wednesday ahead of the Thursday swearing in of Members of National Assembly and Senate.
According to the unveiled lineup, former Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka will take the Speaker position which is currently held by Ekwe Ethuro with Murang'a Senator-elect Irungu Kang'ata as his deputy.
But for Lusaka, he will battle it out with among others former National Assembly Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim who lost his bid to oust Aden Duale as Garissa Township MP.
Isiolo Senator-elect Fatuma Dhulo who defied all the odds to clinch the seat will take the Majority Whip position and she will be deputized by her Nakuru counterpart Susan Kihika who had previously indicated that she would run for Deputy Speaker position.
