Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has disagreed with Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua's assessment of Kalonzo Musyoka's absence during National Super Alliance (NASA) swearing-in.

On a tweet on Tuesday, Mutua reiterated that NASA's swearing-in event was bound to fail since it was unconstitutional and based on the wrong premise.

Mutua further pointed out that Kalonzo's absence from the event is a clear indication that he (Kalonzo) can never be relied upon.

In a tweet response, however, Murkomen urged Mutua to either criticize Kalonzo for being a betrayer or congratulate him for obeying the law and skipping the 'unconstitutional' event.

"I don’t agree with you on this Governor. If it was Unconstitutional then he was right to boycott. You can’t betray someone by obeying the law. You either credit him for doing the right thing or attack him for betrayal. It can’t be both," tweeted Murkomen on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, NASA planned a swearing-in ceremony of Raila and Kalonzo at Uhuru Park but surprisingly, the event was skipped by Kalonzo sparking reactions from Kenyans.

A majority of the reactions criticized Kalonzo and other NASA principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang'ula for betraying Raila despite their same call for the swearing-in.
