Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja on Thursday explained why he thinks NASA Senators decided to kick out Senator Moses Wetangula from his Senate Minority leadership position.
Speaking during a breakfast show on Citizen FM, Sakaja said that the de-whipping of Wetangula is just a sign of inner wrangles within the broader NASA family.
“We are also asking ourselves questions, how could it be possible to get him (Wetangula) out of the position yet he is also a Principal.
"We understand that there may be problems within the coalition or there is a misunderstanding since the differences that ensued during the January 30th swearing in,” Sakaja said.
Sakaja further noted that there are some Senators who felt that Wetangula had failed to address some of their grievances and therefore decided to replace him.
"There are Senators who felt that as their leader, Wetangula was not addressing their issues. Besides it is democracy, you cannot say that you have a seat that is yours permanently. You never know, such a thing might even happen on our side,” Sakaja added.
