After criticising the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition over plans to establish a vote tallying centre parallel to IEBC’s, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party is now planning to set up a similar vote tallying system. A team of Jubilee strategists has met to plan on how to collect, verify, tally and relay the presidential election results during the August 8 polls, The Star is reporting. The Jubilee Party team, which met over the weekend at Naivasha’s Great Rift Lodge, plan to use the vote tallying centre to counter NASA’s plan. The Opposition’s plans to establish their own vote tallying centre was meant to challenge IEBC to declare the correct results. Some of Jubilee’s strategists working on this project include former Energy CS Davis Chirchir, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, Solicitor General Njee Muturi, nominated MP Johnson Sakaja among others.
