The Jubilee coalition, not having no intention to be left behind on the matter met to find a way forward on voter registration, as well discuss on sharing elective posts to avert a potential fall out within the party.

Deputy President William Ruto who also doubles up as the Jubilee party’s deputy party leader met for the second day running county leaders and other aspirants from Nairobi, to put things in order ahead of Friday’s main meeting.

Nairobi has seen a growing list of aspirants in various major seats particularly the gubernatorial seat, which means failure to put the house in order will spell doom for the party.

“Na tukiwa Nairobi hii vile vile, lazima nyinyi mtupatie sura mzuri, kwamba Jamii zote ziko Nairobi tuungane, kila Jamii ipate nafasi ndio tutembee kama Nyumba moja ya Jubilee. (In Nairobi as well, you must portray as in the best way possible, bring together all communities so that we can walk together as Jubilee,” said Ruto.

The DP further challenged the leaders to ensure over half a million new voters are registered in the capital, as the party aims to win big in areas dominated by the opposition.

The meeting also sought to pick a lineup to take on the opposition in the coming elections.

“We’re delivering Jubilee. We’re going to take over Nairobi, we will have a governor in Nairobi from Jubilee, a senator from jubilee, women representative from Jubileee,” said Nairobi Women Rep Rachael Shebesh.
