Judging by the mammoth turnout in Jubilee rallies in perceived opposition strongholds, if the huge numbers of people attending the rallies are anything to go by, Jubilee seems to make inroads in NASA's regions. The mammoth crowds would be insufficient to judge of Jubilees gains if defections were not factored. Early this year, coastal politicians defected from ODM and NASA affiliated parties to join Jubilee. This is the case with Ukambani, North Eastern Kenya, Western Kenya and Nyanza. In Nyanza, one of the regions that are now starting to show hit contest by the two biggest parties in Kenya is Kisii & Nyamira. Just recently, Kitutu Chache ODM parliamentary candidate, one of the most vocal harsh critic of Jubilee's administration defected to Jubilee in a surprise move.Kibagendi is now leading Jubilee campaigns in Kisii. It is possible he will run for the Kitutu Chache's Parliamentary seat in the deferred elections of Kitutu Chache's parliamentary seat after the unfortunate demise of the Jubilee candidate in a tragic road accident two days ago. In Jubilee's campaigns in Kilifi and Jomvu today, mammoth crowds thronged the meetings which are seen as a show of might that Jubilee might garner more votes in the region than in the previous general elections. It still remains to be seen if NASA will make inroads in Jubilee perceived zones making this coming elections a wild card where competitions will go a full circle from tribal politics to ideological politics.
