National Super Alliance (NASA) CEO Norman Magaya has disagreed with claims linking the coalition's presidential election grandstanding with a huge loss of revenue in the country.
According to Magaya, NASA's demands for an overhaul of the IEBC personnel and systems implicated of bungled presidential election cannot be the reasons why the country is losing revenue and investors.
Magaya believes that mismanagement of resources and corruption by Jubilee has been responsible for the loss of at least Sh600 billion.
Furthermore, he believes shambolic elections cost the country Sh45 billion and steps must be taken to avert such losses in the future.
"NASA's call for a free, fair, transparent and credible election cannot be responsible for the loss of revenue in the country. Jubilee government's mismanagement of resources and corruption has cost the country Sh600b and a ton of investors. Similarly, a bungled elections cost us Sh45b and we will not allow such losses again," said Magaya.
The CEO further accused the government of failing to provide security for IEBC officials ahead of the forthcoming contested presidential election.
"The Jubilee government has refused to provide security to the IEBC officials in the country. This should not be the case considering the late Chris Musando's murder has not yet been resolved," added Magaya.
Magaya made the remarks on Sunday during a political discussion on NTV .
