Controversial city lawyer Ahamednassir Abdullahi is rumoured to be the lead counsel in a case involving IEBC over controversial awarding of ballot paper printing tender to a Dubai based company.

Opposition NASA had moved to court to block the company from printing the papers on grounds that procurement laws were not adhered to and that the company is leaning towards Jubilee party.

Although printing is ongoing, NASA filed a petition which will see three High Court judges listen to submissions from interested parties on Friday.

But Jubilee party which joined the case as an interested party is said to have procured Abdullahi’s services despite the souring relationship between him and the establishment.

In his recent posts on social media, the senior counsel popularly known as Grand Muller, has been taking Jubilee government head-on over its mismanagement of economy.

Before his fallout with President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ahmednassir was one of the greatest critics of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

During the Raila Odinga Supreme Court case in controversial outcome of 2013 elections, Ahmednassir represented IEBC and often guided Jubilee lawyers.

He is also on record for questioning Jubilee’s alleged engagement in extrajudicial killings particularly targeting members of Islamic community.
