President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party will on Friday reward MPs who decamped from the opposition’s NASA coalition.
All MPs from Ukambani region who joined Jubilee will be given a Prado to spearhead the President’s campaigns in the region.
The Wiper-rebel MPs, led by Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao, have also received Sh60 million campaign materials and two trucks to boost their quest to secure at least 500,000 votes in the region for Jubilee, Kenyans.co.ke reports.
Munyao said the team has been tasked with wooing residents to reject NASA and back Uhuru’s re-election bid.
“We must tell our people the truth – that the opposition has nothing to offer,” said Munyao.
The campaign team which comprises of Health CS Cleopa Mailu, Foreign Affairs PS Monica Juma and ICT PS Victor Kyalo will on Friday meet prominent professionals and business persons drawn from Makueni, Kitui and Machakos counties, to conclude the campaign strategy.
The campaigns are being funded by the prominent business owners.
