Speaking in Kiambu town over the weekend, Nyokabi told the MP to brace for a tsunami come today when the motion is scheduled for debate.

"We will stand with the Speaker as we believe he is wrongly accused. All those people talking of corruption and fighting the Speaker are in the committees implicated in corruption,” said Nyokabi.

Nyokabi added that the allegations against the Speaker are baseless and are political witch-hunt.

"This is a Coalition of Reforms and Democracy (CORD) engineered plan to ouster Muturi. We will be in the house t defend the Speaker,” said Nyokabi.

At the same time Nyokabi said that she is not aware of corruption in Parliament saying that she hears and reads about it in the media.

"I have never come across that money I hear some people talking about,” said Nyokabi.

National Assembly Speaker, Justin Muturi, is being accused of misconduct and overseeing corruption in the Assembly.
