Ruto who visited the region on Friday termed the ODM party ‘dead’, and insisted that the Gusii community had made a right decision by joining Jubilee.

But on Sunday Mr Bosire quashed the remarks and maintained that the DP was living in his ‘own’ world, insisting that the Jubilee Party was ‘stranger’ in the region’s politics.

“It’s funny that someone claims that the Gusii region is shifting its allegiance to Jubilee yet we are having quite a number of people from the grassroots joining ODM on daily. The DP is living in his own world because whatever he said contradicts the reality,” he said.

“Jubilee is unsalable in Gusii region and I will say that now and again. The party is a stranger to Gusii politics and the opposition remains indomitable in Kisii and Nyamira counties,” he added.

He also accused a section of leaders from the region for allegedly making ‘fake’ declarations in the name of the community, and warned of ‘massive’ defeat for Jubilee in the 2017 polls.

“Some few leaders who prefers pushing their own interests are purporting to speak on behalf of the community by making fake declarations. Jubilee should be ready for a massive defeat and that is a reality,” he said.
