These new developments have been reported after President Kenyatta’s meeting with over 5,000 leaders from the greater central Kenya region at Sagana Lodge.
The meeting which begun on Thursday featured elected leaders from the counties of Nyeri, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Nakuru, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Meru, Murang’a Embu and Tharaka Nithi.
President Kenyatta said moments to the meeting that his party’s focus was hinged on them going back to the electorates to request for votes. He noted that the party’s campaign will be based on Jubilee’s record and campaign manifesto.
He said; “We are meeting leaders to discuss our approach, and then everyone goes back to every town and every village, where our voters are."
Reports say that the ruling party intends to make all MPs under its realm agents at their respective constituency tallying centres and MCAs at their polling stations.
President Kenyatta and his fierce rival Raila Odinga have until October 15 to campaign.
The Sagana meeting follows another strategic meeting with Kisii and Nyamira county leaders at Nakuru State House.
